Your symbolic adoption will support SR3's work, including its efforts to protect the endangered Southern Resident killer whales. This population is currently at one of its lowest abundances since the mid 1970’s, following the years of their live capture for marine parks and aquariums. Today they face new threats, including a lack of their preferred prey, Chinook (King) Salmon, and boat disturbance which interferes with their ability to hunt and communicate. With your support, our researchers will be able to collect critical health data throughout the year and use this information to trigger urgent conservation efforts.
